This one is inspired by the art of Albert Bierstadt, as well as the art and technique of Andrew Tischler. It is actually my first ever digital painting without a sketch, just a simple greyscale value composition for a guide. It took me a few days to complete, which is quite surprising since I was trying this way of painting for the first time. It turned out that this technique is much faster, much easier and more interesting and mind opening than my usual paint routine with sketch and masks. The initial idea was to paint a simple mountain landscape with a castle ruin, but then decided to expand on that after being amazed by the possibilities of this technique. Think from now on will stick to it on a regular basis since this was a pure inspirational revelation...
